praising through recovery
a legacy of transformation and new beginnings
Praising Through Recovery, Inc. (PTR)Founded in 2007 by Lisa Bryson, Praising Through Recovery, Inc. (PTR) is a faith-based organization committed to empowering individuals on their journey to recovery and transformation. Lisa’s life is a testament to God’s grace and resilience. After enduring a 20-year battle with heroin and crack cocaine addiction, she found freedom through detoxification, rehabilitation, transitional living, and, most importantly, her faith. With a renewed heart and purpose, she dedicated herself to helping others find a path to healing and restoration.
In March 2009, PTR was officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Lisa’s personal journey inspired the creation of two transitional recovery homes: Trinity Recovery House for Men and Covered Bridge Recovery House for Women. Over the course of 10 years, these homes served as safe havens for more than 300 men and women, providing structure, education, life skills, and a supportive community. With an impressive 75% success rate for in-house clients and 50% success for outpatient services, PTR’s transitional housing program empowered individuals to break free from addiction, rebuild their lives, and become active, productive members of society.
