Expanding Our Mission Beyond Borders At Praising Through Recovery (PTR), our commitment to healing and restoration extends far beyond our local communities. Under the visionary leadership of our Executive Director, Rev. Lisa Bryson, PTR has expanded its reach globally, bringing hope and transformation to some of the world’s most vulnerable populations. Lisa and her dedicated missionary team have traveled to Haiti, Kenya, Rwanda, Romania, Hungary, and Ukraine, passionately declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ while serving those in desperate need. Through these international missions, they provide school supplies, clothing, medical care, and emotional support, ensuring that those who are struggling receive not only practical assistance but also spiritual encouragement. One of PTR’s most impactful initiatives takes place in Rwanda, where Lisa and her team work tirelessly to support women affected by the atrocities of genocide. Through life and trauma recovery groups, PTR offers these courageous women a path to healing, providing them with the tools, support, and empowerment needed to rebuild their lives. For over 11 years, Lisa and her team have also led the Carrefour Haiti Health Fairs, serving over 550 men, women, and children by providing medical care, essential medications, and health education—including substance abuse awareness—through a team of licensed doctors, nurses, and dedicated volunteers. This global mission work strengthens PTR’s core vision, reinforcing the belief that by serving the world, we enrich our local communities. Lisa firmly believes that true impact begins with education and a global perspective, a principle she expresses through her powerful words: "To impact our local communities, we must broaden our view and impact the world." We are honored to stand on the front lines of faith, healing, and service, both locally and globally, as we live out the words of Acts 20:35: "In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Together, we continue our mission—to heal, restore, and transform lives across the world.
